Sharks Camp Frequently Asked Questions!
Hover or click on each question to reveal the response!
A: The camp as a whole runs from 8.30am - 4.30pm each day, and we will have supervising adults in attendance during this period, so athletes can be dropped off early or picked up later than their allocated training group time slot if necessary.
We ask that athletes that are dropped off early or picked up later than their designated time slot are respectful of staff and other athletes who are working or training respectively.
Q: When can athletes be dropped off and picked up?
A: During the breaks at Sharks Camp athletes need to re-fuel, re-charge, and re-hydrate in preparation for their next session.
The Camp contains 4 days of volleyball, including lots of learning and high levels of physical activity. It is important that athletes are given appropriate time to rest in order to get the most out of the training.
Some athletes bring board games, books or handballs to occupy their time.
Q: What do athletes do during their breaks?
A: Athletes are expected to bring their own lunch/snacks to camp each day.
We do allow students to go off-site for lunch to nearby shops/restaurants or home with their parents permission.
Q: Do athletes need to bring their own lunch?
A: All you have to bring is, closed-in shoes and comfortable sportswear to train in.
After receiving their camp shirt athletes will be expected to wear it each day of the camp for safety reasons.
We encourage you to NOT bring your own volleyball.
Q: What do athletes wear to the camp?
A: Arrive 30 minutes before your allocated training group's starting time. You will be greeted by our lovely staff, who will check your name off the roll. Athlete's will then be given their camp shirt, water bottle, and have their assigned number written on their leg/arm.
From there our lovely Coaches will look after the rest!
Q: What to do on the first day of Sharks Camp?
A: Yes - as long as registrations are still open!
Q: Can I register after the Camp has already started?
A: Unfortunately, we don’t offer credits, refunds, or make up sessions if you’re unable to attend one or two sessions. If you know you will be away for two days or more you can contact us to see if you're eligible!
Q: Do I get a credit for missing a session?
