Requirements And Certificates

To be eligible for employment, candidates are required to possess a valid Blue Card, which certifies their suitability to work with children. While a current Driver's license is preferred, it is not mandatory for all positions. However, having reliable transportation is important to ensure punctuality and reliability. Candidates with volleyball knowledge are preferred, however, individuals who are eager to learn and passionate about the sport will be considered. Overall, Sharks Volleyball seeks individuals who are responsible, dependable, and committed to personal and professional growth.

Coaching Opportunities

Sharks Camp

Sharks Camp is our biggest event, and we require up to 30 plus coaches. Benefits include a minimum of 15 hours of work for the 4 days, lunches paid for, opportunities for leadership roles, professional development and an end-of-camp coaches volleyball match. We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic coaches to help make the camp a success.

Private Sessions

Casual coaching for private sessions is a flexible way to work with small groups of players. Benefits include the ability to choose locations and times that work for both the coach and the players, as well as the opportunity to build rapport with players to work with and on their strengths and weaknesses. This type of coaching is ideal for those who prefer a more personalised coaching experience.

Weekly Junior Session

The Weekly Junior session is a term-based program that spans 10 weeks and offers coaches the opportunity to work with a diverse range of athletes in terms of skill level, age, and gender. Coaches receive professional development opportunities and the chance to get to know their players' abilities, enabling them to help each player become the best volleyball player they can be.

Kelp Roots

The Kelp Roots program coaching is an excellent opportunity for school-aged students who are passionate about volleyball. This program is designed to cater to our younger demographic and provides an ideal job for students who want to gain experience in coaching while sharing their love of the sport with others.

Part time

Part-time employment through Sharks Volleyball provides numerous benefits including bonuses, leave entitlements, guaranteed work, and opportunities to take on leadership roles. Additionally, employees may have the chance to expand their skill set and knowledge by pursuing opportunities outside the main scope of their work. These factors make part-time employment an attractive option for those seeking job security, growth, and development.

Casual

Casual work offers a great opportunity to earn some extra money while enjoying a fun work environment. For those who are interested in volleyball coaching, this type of work can also provide access to professional development opportunities. Casual workers also have the flexibility to choose which types of coaching sessions they want to attend, making it an ideal option for those with other commitments

Internship

An internship is a great way to take the first steps toward becoming a full-time coach at Sharks Volleyball. As an intern, you will have access to professional development opportunities, and the program can be completed in as little as 2 months. Furthermore, interns are often considered first when full-time opportunities become available. This makes it an excellent option for those who are serious about pursuing a career in volleyball coaching.
