POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
At Sharks Volleyball, we are committed to providing high-quality athlete training and development programs and events. We understand that circumstances can arise that may prevent someone from attending an event or program they have registered for. In these cases, we offer the following refund policies:
1. Credit Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend the event or program you’ve registered for, refunds are not an option. However, we understand that circumstances can change, and you may still want to participate in our future programs and events. In this case, we may offer credit that can be carried over to other events. The credit may be a partial or full credit depending on the circumstances. To receive credit, you must send an email to generalmanager@sharksvolleyball.com and approved by the General Manager. Credits are NOT transferrable to another individual.
2. Conditional Refunds: If you become injured and are unable to attend the event or program you have registered for, you may be eligible for a partial refund. To be eligible, you must provide a medical certificate as proof of your injury. Please note that this refund will incur a 20% cancellation fee inclusive of GST. Depending on the circumstances a full credit may be offered as another option in place of a refund at the discretion of Sharks Volleyball Management. In this instance, bank details must be provided to Sharks Volleyball.
Circumstances where Conditional Refunds or Credits would NOT qualify.
1. Change of Mind: If a person changes their mind and no longer wants the product or service, requests for Credit/s or Conditional Refunds may not be accepted.
2. Failure to Attend: If a person fails to attend an event or program they’ve registered for, requests for Credit/s or Conditional Refunds may not be accepted. Make-up sessions are not on offer if a person misses an “occasional” session while attending one of our events or programs.
3. Late Cancellation: If a person cancels their registration for an event or program beyond a certain time frame (48 hours before the event start time), requests for Credit/s or Conditional Refunds may not be accepted.
4. Non-attendance Due to Personal Reasons: If a person is unable to attend an event or program due to personal reasons (e.g. illness, travel, etc.), requests for Credit/s or Conditional Refunds may not be accepted.
5. Force Majeure: If an event or program is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond the control of Sharks Volleyball (e.g. venue unavailability, natural disasters, government regulations, etc.), requests for Credit/s or Conditional Refunds may not be accepted.
6. Gross Misconduct & Bullying: In the event that a person acts inappropriately in the way of defamation, sexual harassment, bullying, disrespectful language or behaviour, you will be dismissed from the program and Credit/s or Conditional Refunds will not be accepted.
7. Outside scheduled times for activities or programs, Sharks Volleyball takes no responsibility if an attendee arrives too early or leaves a venue where a program or activity is still being held. Supervision is provided on site when scheduled training and activities are in progress.
8. While Sharks Volleyball takes all necessary precautions, in attending programs and events you release all liability of injuries that may occur.
9. All authorisation and submissions of permission forms signed in our online registration system to attend a Sharks Volleyball program must be completed by a responsible parent or guardian and only students over the age of 18 years old.
Sharks Volleyball reserves the right to modify or change our refund policies and conditions at any time.
10. Trial Sessions: If a person attends and pays for a trial session at a Sharks Volleyball program, the trial registration fee will not be deducted if they decide to register and continue for the remainder of that program.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us at generalmanager@sharksvolleyball.com
Medical Release and Authorisation Disclaimer
Medical Release and Authorisation
As Parent and/or Guardian of the named athlete, I hereby authorise the diagnosis and treatment by a qualified and licensed medical professional, of the named athlete, in the event of a medical emergency, which in the opinion of the attending medical professional, requires immediate attention to prevent further endangerment of the minor’s life, physical disfigurement, physical impairment, or other undue pain, suffering or discomfort, if delayed.
Permission is hereby granted to the attending physician to proceed with any medical or minor surgical treatment, x-ray examination and immunisations for the named athlete. In the event of an emergency arising out of serious illness, the need for major surgery, or significant accidental injury, I understand that every attempt will be made by the attending physician to contact me in the most expeditious way possible. This authorisation is granted only after a reasonable effort has been made to reach me.
Permission is also granted to the SVA Corporation Pty Ltd ABN 60 661 547 744 (Sharks Volleyball) and its affiliates including Directors, Coaches, and Team Parents to provide the needed emergency treatment prior to the named athletes admission to the medical facility.
Release authorised on the dates and/or duration of the registered season.
In the event that the named athlete is over the age of 18, the above waivers apply and the athlete gives consent and authorises all of the above. They also acknowledge that their execution constitutes the formal release of all liability from Sharks Volleyball in this matter and that they are sufficient to sign on their own behalf if required, as may be the case in this instance.
This release is authorised and executed of my own free will, with the sole purpose of authorising medical treatment under emergency circumstances, for the protection of life and limb of the named athlete, in my absence or inability to provide direction.
I understand that this payment acts as an upfront down payment for all sessions over the specified duration and therefore cannot be refunded without adequate cause.
